Pumpkin Fruit Smoothie Recipe (modified from original posted on FamilyFun.com)
- 1oz. canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup milk or vanilla yogurt
- small pinch of cinnamon
- smaller pinch of nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (crushed) ice cubes
Directions
- Combine ingredients in blender and puree until smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into glass (this fruit smoothie is rich) and garnish with a dollop of vanilla yogurt or whipped topping.
- For a fun touch, add another pinch of cinnamon or a few colored sprinkles
- Serves 1.
To make this fruit smoothie recipe healthier, use skim milk rather and leave off the garnish (or garnish with an extra pinch of cinnamon - it’s good for you!). You could also ad a scoop of your favorite protein powder as a boost.
